The Art of Loving You was a beautiful slow-burn, second-chance romance. I loved the characters and the growth they experienced throughout the story.

The scavenger hunt Tanya sent Dani and Micah on became so much more than just a journey, it helped them understand themselves, each other, and the meaning of life while introducing them to incredible people along the way. Watching Dani slowly lower her guard and give Micah the grace to explain his past was beautiful. Micah, in turn, patiently waited for her, accepted what she was able to give, and worked on becoming a better man and brother. Dani also put in the work to become a better friend and learn to trust the people around her again.

The beginning was a little slow, but once the story found its rhythm, the romance blossomed beautifully. The friendships, the mentorship, and seeing both characters choose healing for themselves and for the people they loved made this such a rewarding read. Micah needed to believe he deserved good things, while Dani had to confront her past to finally move forward, and I loved watching them both get there.

    ❤️

This is a 5-star read. Both the FMC and MMC were amazing, and the story was beautifully written.

I loved reading about Kiki’s passion for music and how it influenced every part of her life. The chemistry between her and Malakai was incredible, you could genuinely feel the tension, and their second-chance romance felt natural and believable.

The friendships were just as memorable, especially Kiki and Aminah’s. Their bond was beautiful, supportive, and genuine. This book had everything I look for in a second-chance romance: a compelling plot, lovable characters, meaningful friendships, and chemistry that kept me invested from beginning to end.

The only thing that didn’t quite work for me was some of the Nigerian slang, which felt a little off at times. The mention of making puff puff in an air fryer also threw me off, I’m assuming the author meant reheating it rather than actually making it in one.

Overall, this was a fantastic read, and I loved every minute of it.
