Would you rather
- Have every book you want, its a one time thing, and only the books you want now, not the future ones. but never being able to use the library again, this also means not being able to have others get a library book for you, as a strong force doesn’t let you come near the book. So you will have to buy the book if you ever come across something new that’s interesting.
Or
- Never being able to read/listen to a book without everybody within a 100 meter radius hearing, everyone in that radius can hear the book, hear your thoughts, you will not hear their thoughts, nothing is changed for you. but they will hear it as if you’re reading out loud.
I tried to make this as terrible as possible by using people’s favorite bookish habits, audiobooks and libraries, my own included. 😌
im going with number 2 i live in the countryside with 1 neighbour who’s home maybe once every 2 weeks, so I’d avoid reading knowing other people are around
