Long live historical romance! The themes here transcend time: forgiveness, compassion, becoming a better person. It was very romantic and just a good bit spicy. ✔️ Dual POVs (Evan x Elaine) ✔️ Set in regency London ✔️ Open-door historical romance (3/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: He used to be an asshole

I've been looking to follow more people, so curious about how everyone else does it! Do you have friends irl that you've invited here? Do you use the "% overlap"? Do you find folks you vibe with in the discussions and just add them? I've tried the "readers with similar taste" list in the Discover page, but because it suggests people based on them having at least one book similar to mine in the "My Taste" section, I think it works better for people who have fairly uniform taste in books (e.g. typically reading from one or two genres, which I don't) and also leans towards matching based on books that have been widely read by the Pagebound community.

The perfect interlude while waiting for Bitter Burn! We get a glimpse of Mark and Isolde — and another backstabbing trio! The brevity of the story meant you didn’t really get to feel Rafe fall in love with Lox, but the exquisite spice more than made up for the plot holes. ✔️ Triple POV (Rafe x Lox x Marian) ✔️ Set in the Pacific Northwest ✔️ Open-door contemporary romance (4/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: Robin Hood retelling; FFM; romantic suspense

The dark romance girlies could seamlessly integrate this into their TBR, but it’s tame enough that women’s fiction readers could handle. I can’t believe this is the second marriage of convenience trope in a two for this series. I hope things switch up a bit as Dark Olympus continues. ✔️ Dual POV (Eros x Psyche) ✔️ Set in a modern day version of Olympus ✔️ Open-door fantasy romance (4/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: Dark romance, marriage of convenience, Greek mythology

I beg you to read the first three books first. The tension between Leo and Catherine was exquisite here, but his story (their story) actually started several books earlier. Lisa Kleypas truly nailed this landing! There was maybe a **bit** too much indecision in the third quarter, but they found each other in the end! ✔️ Dual POVs (Leo x Catherine) ✔️ Set in Victorian England ✔️ Open-door historical romance (4/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: Secret identity; troubled pasts

Other authors should take note of Abby Jimenez’s ability to write about working class heroes and heroines in a real way. The characters were refreshing, the plot was wrenching, and the conflicts felt real. Plus, the stellar writing made the book FLY by. There isn’t a lot of fancy prose here, but it really didn’t matter when we (as readers) get everything else. ✔️ Dual POVs (Josh x Kristen) ✔️ Set in Los Angeles ✔️ Open-door contemporary romance (3.5/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: Infertility; withholding information/miscommunication ⚠️ CW: Reproductive challenges; death/loss; OCD

Out of curiosity I just wonder if other people do this, I usually do the standard reading goal of reading a certain amount of books but I also do specific reading goals like reading this many physical books, reading this number of books that I had since I was 13, reading every fae book I have, rereading a favorite series. So do you have just one reading goal or multiple?

I used to rate books with ".25" and ".75" stars (especially on StoryGraph) but now in my opinion 3.25 can just be 3 stars and 3.75 can just 4 stars. And in pagebound i think its nice to not confuse myself with this bc here it's only .5! What do you think?

A throughly engaging read. The pages seemed to fly by as Harry schemed. Poppy was a nearly perfect character from start to finish. She didn’t have as much room to grow, but HER FAMILY! This family is 10 toes down for each other. Trapped into being “ruined”? This family DGAF. ✔️ Dual POVs (Harry x Poppy with outside insights from Harry’s right-hand man, Jake) ✔️ Set in Victorian London ✔️ Open-door historical romance (3.5/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: Bluestocking FMC; arranged marriage

He’s the ex’s best friend and a certified snack. She’s grieving her aunt and her last relationship. There were fewer magical elements than I expected (just one document found in a wall during remodeling). ✔️ Single POV (Susie) ✔️ Set in Seattle ✔️ Open-door contemporary romance (3.5/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: Off limits MMC; paranormal elements

I love when a previous character seems absolutely irredeemable in other books, then proves you completely wrong when it’s in his POV. ✔️ Dual POV (Lothaire x Elizabeth “Ellie”) ✔️ Set in the world of the lore with vampires, demons, werewolves, etc. ✔️ Open-door contemporary paranormal romance (4/5🌶️) ✔️ Tropes: FATED MATES
