I love to read, particularly in the history and fantasy genres. I'm a speed reader so constantly searching for something new to read. There's nothing quite like reading a well-written, moving book.

Really enjoyed this book, incredibly well-written and helped me broaden my world view by learning more about the Deaf community. Would definitely recommend to any friend who likes this genre.

The way the magic system was based off logic was genius and I absolutely loved that. It was also quite well written with a very convincing / real-feeling MC character voice. Would recommend to a friend who likes anything with Academia or darker fantasy. There were a few too many name drops though, and it felt a bit much at times, like you needed to have studied philosophy at uni to fully understand the text. That being said, even with the occasional complex references it is still enjoyable without needing complete understanding. It's quite a particular book, so maybe read a preview before deciding to buy.
