I loveee this so much!!! Frederick Backman never misses, so so beautifully written. He has this way with words, one second you'd be like that was funny and the very next second he'd give you the most gut wrenching sentence, and loved this so much. Never let's it get too dark, makes you feel warm and sad all at once. There were so many moments I found myself shedding a tear or two, and honestly that's my favourite thing about reading, to be able to feel something this deeply ❤️‍🩹

The story was layered and balanced so well, with the constant switch between past and present, just one little thing annoyed me, the constant mention of this huge thing about to happen at the end of summer, felt repetitive and made it a little anticlimactic? But other than this, I LOVEDD THIS!!!

Always felt like I was along for the journey with the idiots 🫶🏼

Ted, Joar, Ali, KimKim and Louisa will forever have my heart 🫶🏼

This one will surely stay with me for a long time, easily my favourite author!

So far loving this, as expected 🫶🏼 Also love the use of humour, one second I'd be like that was funny and the very next second he'd give you the most gut wrenching sentence! And honestly I love that!!

Ove's destination was his relationship with his wife

Guys I'm crying this man's whole purpose in life was to love his wife, like she was literally the color in it, like omg, omg

All I can think about is every post from the author talking about how amazing his wife is, and how he is nothing compared to how funny and confident and amazing she is and like 😭😭 your self insert is showing When men love their wives 💓💓 When men love their wives and write about other men who love their wives 💓💓 When men love their wives and write about other men who love their wives and it's just so honest and heartwarming and real 💓💓

Honestly, I'm out of words, this broke me in many ways. From the first word till the end, it felt like I was along Nahr, living every stage of her life. Beautifully written, and only reading it made me feel like this, none of us can imagine what people actually living it go through. The chapters describing her prison cell and everything in between, perfectly written and shown and to think that none of this is "fiction" I don't think any words can describe how beautiful and utterly heartbreaking this book is and how it makes you feel. My heart breaks for them, may we soon see a free Palestine and every Nahr be reunited with her Bilal ❤‍🩹

    Free Palestine 🇵🇸🍉
