This one really had me at the start, but about midway through I just lost all interest. Usually I'm all in for a geriatric character in a mystery/thriller. Not sure why it didn't hold my interest after that point. For me, it was just okay. The premise was interesting, the plot was well thought out, and the characters weren't insufferable (though I had a hard time really connecting with them). I don't know, guess this just wasn't the right time for me to love this one.

Really enjoyed this one! I'm a sucker for geriatric-centered thrillers! It's nothing revolutionary, but definitely fun. I loved the characters, the guessing, and the constant sense of dread. I'm not usually a fan of 3rd person POV, but this one definitely did it right. I especially loved the different character focuses and actually being able to be a part of the action. Fun read!

I just don't think I was the target audience for this one. I don't like the "rich people behaving badly" trope, so once that element set it I think I kind of just stopped caring. I liked the beginning, but as the book progressed it just fell flat. I didn't really care about the characters (they seemed a little flat) and the twists just didn't do it for me. Last line was cool and the premise was interesting, but it just didn't deliver like I'd hoped it would. Overall it was just kind of meh...

Didn't love this one. It wasn't bad, just definitely not what I expected. I was really anticipating a mystery thriller, which this was not. It leans much more into thr mystery. The stakes didn't seem very high to me, and the characters just seemed incredibly annoying. The constant back and forth with the relationship and the odd, kind of cringey way they interacted made it hard to root for them. And the pregnancy thing? That didn't seem developed enough to add any weight. It all just seemed kind of meh. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. Maybe I should've gone in blind...
