Okay, starting this because everyone is talking about it and I’ve got fomo and I want to be part of the conversation 😭

(Also just found out that Andy Weir wrote The Martian? How did I not know this 😄)

I love a good car chase thriller! Was it the best I've ever read? No. Was it fun? Absolutely. It was fast paced and I found myself flying through it, especially the last half. Overall a solid thriller and a fast read!

While the twists were interesting, I just couldn't get over the writing or the characters. They seemed so unbelievable and about midway through I felt myself dragging through the rest of the book. Everyone recommends Frieda so highly, but this is my third Frieda read and I just don't think it's for me... it's an easy thriller read, but probably not one I would recommend.

I know it’s too early for me to be judging but, I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it through the book. I find the writing to be, maybe, a little corny? “Creepy cult kids”; “Breath that she didn’t know was holding”? I’m not sure, I guess we’ll see

Overall a solid thriller. Bit of a slow start and I'll be honest, I almost DNFed a time or two, but about halfway through it picked up and the last several chapters just flew by. Similar structure to Local Woman Missing in that way, I think. Nothing revolutionary or life changing, but a fun read and worth it, in my opinion.

Shari Lapena never let's me down! Is it life changing? No. Is it fun? Absolutely! It's twisty and tense and I just couldn't put it down! Perfect cleanser. Overall highly recommend!
