This book was good. I liked the plot. There is a lot magic in the book to make things harder on the kids. If you don't like feeling like something couldn't be done with magic then you won't like this. There are talks of dead bodies but it isn't too horribly descriptive. I would say it gave the movie "The Craft" vibes at first but once you get into the book it really becomes a whole murder mystery.

Time After Time follows Libby, a new homeowner of her dream house, as she navigates her new life away from her family. She meets Tish in one of her college classes. Tish is surprised to find out the house that she has been so drawn to is owned by Libby. They start fixing the house up together all the while Tish is reading a diary she found in the house. Tish is so obsessed with the love story she is reading that she seems to actually live it. I found this a cute read. I didn't mind the jumping back and forth from the past to the present. I think I figured out pretty early what was going on but of course it took the characters in the book a lot longer. It wasn't as fast paced as I wish it would have been. But it wasn't bad. I love how it all plays out at the end.

Having a common name isn't always a good thing. Yes people tend to be able to remember how to pronounce it but is that really worth it? The Sara Jones club was created by a high school student as a consequence of bullying another student at school. But as the project was ending a Sara Jones, not a member of the club, is murdered. Now all of the Jones's want to solve the murder. I did like this book. I grew up in Minnesota and always enjoy books set there. It really made me think about identity issues too. It just seem so easy for someone to come up with new identities. And having a common name now doesn't seem like a good thing. I didn't like how all of them keep saying that they couldn't imagine the FBI being a real job. The made them seem like real small town thinkers even though this takes place in the cities. The progression was great and I liked the details of each Sara Jones's characters too.
