It genuinely amuses me how much it bothers me that the wyverns in this have four legs. I am That Dragon Nerd, I guess.

For real, though; fewer typos in the e-edition of this one (thank the gods) than in the previous book, but the same prose and story problems continue. I have reached the point of greatly desiring to punch Asandir in the face for the Fellowship's nonsensical hands-off approach to a developing WORLD WAR; every sentence uses ten words where one will do; the dialogue reads like constant lectures; the over-explaining slows down and strips the excitement out of every scene where Great Magics are being done; I continue to be Exhausted by the sexism; and the plot would fit much more comfortably in about half the current page count.

But it continues to be an excellent insomnia cure, so I will be moving on to the next book nonetheless.
