I joined Pagebound two months ago thinking a 50-book goal was plenty ambitious. š« Then I hit 44 and panicked, so naturally, I moved the goalposts to 75 to keep the pressure on.
Meanwhile, Iām scrolling past people casually logging book #213 like itās nothing. Massive respect BTW! āØšø
Where are we all at with our 2026 targets? Smashing it, moving the bar, or pretending the challenge doesn't exist?

Hi my daughter is about to be 3 and very advanced. Sheās known her alphabet since she was 13 months. And she can say the sounds of every letter. So Iām curious if she may be ready to learn to read? I have a friend who learned at the age of 4 before she even went to kindergarten. But I didnāt learn until first grade in public school.
My daughter loved books just like mommy and I would really love to continue to foster her advanced little mind and her academic abilities if sheās up for it.
If 3 is an okay age, does anyone here have any resources, thoughts, experience?

Did you guys read much as kids? I have personally always loved books but I have many friends who have not gotten into reading until super recently. If so what made you into a reader? As someone who has had books be apart of their life since I was a baby Iām really curious.

Any of yall get fun bookish tattoos? I want a crow perched on a stack of books.
(If you have HP tattoos I donāt wanna hear about them as I am trans and do not want to hear about that)

I like the plot and the storyline, but the ending seems a bit rushed and unrealistic.
Like, all these people are causing giant problems for 300 pages and then they all die in 2? I wish they expanded the ending and some of the problems more.

Reading how suspicious and paranoid Katniss is about Peeta's actions (giving her the bread, cleaning up Haymitch on the train, holding hands during the initial parade while they were on fire) is so funny. Her thoughts are quite literally, "hmmm, he's being too nice, he's trying to lure me so he can kill me easier."
She is too funny, she reminds me so much of Jude Duarte from the Cruel Prince with just how their minds work.
