As an Ali fan, I can say this was not the best one. Did I still enjoyed it? Of course, there is no man that Ali writes that doesnt make me want to fall in love with him. My problem with this one is: the idea of the reveneant world is interesting, that it felt it was needed more time to develop. So, all the introductory background of Vero felt kind of long, when, this being a "short story", less is more and made the romance being kind of rushed, the signs of him being attracted to her came only from a third person.

I really think that this could have worked better as a novel and not a novella.
