  • Cozy PC or IPad games for audiobooks

I’m looking for suggestions of games I can play to keep my hands busy while listening to an audiobook.

I’ve tried and enjoyed Let’s Build a Zoo Viva Piñata Tiny Bookshop Stardew Valley

I’d love to find some mindless cafe service type game I could play.

  • What’s the worst book you’ve read because of social media hype?

Inspired by a few videos I’ve seen on BookTok.

I’ll go first with my pick: Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant.

This was soooo hyped everywhere I looked. Reddit, Tiktok, Instagram… The plot looked promising and I was told to expect building tension and full-blown horror! Instead I got bad prose, rushed plot, too many characters with boring backstories, and no horror. I’m still bitter tbh and although other reviews say Grant’s other works are better, I’m unsure whether to even try. I just wanted scary mermaids. 🥲

Give me all your weirdest book recs

Hi everyone! I'm in the mood for something truly strange and thought-provoking, but with a solid plot that you can follow. Vibes-only doesn't work too well for me!

I don't mind whether it's fantasy, sci fi, lit fic, horror... I'll read any of it!

    What would you recommend?

Creative things to do with a damaged book

Hello everyone! I ordered a copy of a collection of Oscar Wilde's plays and it arrived damaged. The store I ordered it from is sending me a new copy and they don't want my old copy back. I know Pagebound is full of creative people so I thought of coming to the Club to ask for ideas: do you guys know or any creative things I could do with the damaged copy? Quite a few of the pages are intact but it's damaged enough where I can't donate it to the library or anything. I'll be looking for ideas online as well but I'd love to hear from those of you who may have done art projects with books before!

ETA a bit more detail about the type of damage: some of the pages are torn but most of them are ok. It's a paperback and the cover is ok, the back cover has a few small tears.
