If you expect a self-help book you will be disappointed. This is an interesting manifesto about why we should pay attention to things around us and ourselves. A bit tedious to read, required a lot of brainpower for me to keep track of the red thread as we say in Swedish. The author writes well and is nuanced with a strong base in literature, research and art, and takes forays I don't always see how they connect back. Regardless, a nice read, recommend for the contemplating types.

Something that strikes me at this read-through is how difficult it is to keep everything straight even now. The reason I wanted to re-read was because I was still thinking of things that were unclear to me from reading the series last year and that I was curious to piece together. I am certain there are literary and mythological connections that I am too uneducated to get which would help in the hyperion-analysis, but I don't even know where to start exploring! Maybe with reading Keat's Hyperion? 😁
