Man, I really wish I had read the book before watching the movie.
Fantastic so far. All I can think about is Samwise Gamgee saying “po-ta-toes - boil ‘em, mash ‘em, stick ‘em in a stew.”

Okay, serious question for my fellow romance readers: when you’re picking out a romance book, do you secretly love covers with the ridiculously gorgeous models looking like they just stepped out of a slow-motion rain scene, or do you prefer cute illustrated covers because the shirtless guy with abs carved by the gods themselves is a little too much?

Hello everyone!! Summer is just around the corner (at least it is in the northern hemisphere), and with that I had the thought of building a little summer reading list!
The categories are as follows: 🧐 A nonfiction on a new topic you’re interested in 🤿 A nonfiction on a topic you want to dive deeper in 🕯️ A classic (bonus points if it’s not a well-known classic) ⭐️ A fiction from a new-to-you author 🫶🏼 A fiction from an indie author (because I feel like there are so many indie gems passed over)
Add yours in the comments! They can be suggestions for others (ie. books you like that fit these) OR your own little summer reading list!

If any? Since this topic seems to be having a moment. Different people have different lines, and sometimes the work can be just too dear to your heart. My personal example: Not a book author, but a singer/songwriter. Whose songs were absolutely formative experience for me, were the basis for many of my roleplay personas, and hold the worlds of my imagination together. And then it turns out she is a pro-war, anti-Ukraine Putin supporter, and not in the “failed to condemn” way, but in the “explicitly justified it”
