Lonslibrary's Book Journey

Okay I know this is a favorite with many and I don't mean to offend anybody, but I'm genuinely struggling to get through this. I know it's supposed to get good from book 2, but it's the heavy-handedness that I can't bear. It's just so on the nose and predictable and literally leaves nothing to the imagination. I wonder if the quality of writing gets any better? I'm fighting the urge to DNF
