This is THE tragic romance. Emily Habeck could've written Romeo and Juilet, but Shakespeare could never even FATHOM a story like Shark Heart.
Wren and Lewis are the best book couple ever, right next to Ove and his wife. They just clearly love eachother so much, that even when they're apart, their parts talk so much about missing the other and their regrets about not trying harder to stay together.
And the tie in with Angela turning into a reptile?? Absolute cinema. It makes so much make sense and the more I think about it, the more moments I recall that foreshadow it. And I didnt even see it coming until the actual reveal. Its amazing. Habeck was so smart for that.
I cried reading this during at least four moments, one of which was the entire fourth part. Probably more. And I usually dont cry at my books at all!
I wouldn't change a single thing about it. I read it in 2 days and honestly could probably finish it in one if i didn't start it at five o'clock at night. Absolutely perfect , 10/10, a 6 star read. I have never been more devastated by words on a page.
Hmm, I dunno, isnt it a little RACIST to EXPECT Jasmine Zhang to be involved just because she's ASIAN, JUNE? Shouldn't ANYBODY be allowed to tell ANY story they want, JUNE?
