I have so much to say about this book and its incredible rich passages, so much that I belive that if I had a physical copy (which I'm sure I will) I would write all over it and add crazy amount of notes, and I'm not even a fan of that. But what Allende is doing with my imagination is incredibly precious and intimate that writing over a book feels just natural to do. ☺️

This was very beautiful and very atmospheric and I enjoyed myself immensely.
This book is definitely on the short side for the world building for my taste, but I look forward to this maybe being a series?
I caution readers that even though this is short it is dense with meaning and it is something you will need to think for yourself to enjoy.

i just started reading, i’m only like 6% in, and i’m just not sure about it. maybe it’s just hard to get into? also 6% is almost definitely too early to judge if i like it or not, so i should continue on with an open mindset? was anyone else feeling this way too?

I was wondering if some of you have some bookish icks ? Not something that will make you dnf the book, but something that will still annoy you.
I feel like I'm crazy to be annoyed by such a little detail, for me it's a first ever penetrative sex (whatever the book genre) described as the best thing ever, heaven-like, full of pleasure by a cis woman. I don't think it is a global experience, and I'm just like 🙄 when I read that. Maybe I'm really crazy ? 😂

We need to get rid of electronics and bring back letter writing. It’s so much more intentional and intimate. Maybe in another life I guess 💔
