Whether you love to hate or hate to love 'em, these literary bad girls are anything but well-behaved. *Disclaimer: we do not literally support the illegal and oft cruel behavior of these protagonists (usually); we support the authors bold enough to write them (always).

Wow. That prologue really throws you into an interesting place.
I am especially fascinated by the final line of the second paragraph:
"When Little A was eleven years old, she was arrested for the murder of her mother."
Like damn. What a way to open a book. I'm excited to read more.

This book reminds me why I love Japanese fiction! There's something straightforward about the writing that makes it easy to read and quickly engaging.
