To know this book was so in deep with the Beast of Gévaudan, made me so happy since for some reason in my life I watched a french movie (Brotherhood of the Wolf) about this more into the werewolf theme and it stuck to me and I wanted more of this specific moment of history in which the supernatural and our world were living and we could see how people were so lost in this period of time.

Then in an anime called The Case Study of Vanitas and since it was more anime it fell more into cliches but I was living to see another interpretation of this.

So this book was so great for me and how it connected a lore into it so well, my main gripe it was that the pacing felt very disruptive with flashbacks way into the past to set up the origins that I feel they could have been left as a recount on the main flashbacks of this story. The only good things of those ones is we have more Livia in the book. And the ending I was dreading it would feel like a big it will continue in the next insert of my diary/ sequel, but well it was an amazing read nonetheless and if it becomes a series I am so excited in which other setting we will fall or how we expand more into what has happened.
