I've noticed there's been a push to adapt kids' books into graphic novels over the past decade, but you can comment with books for older readers as well. Here are my picks:

Cherine says capybaras are twice the size of a gryphon, so those are either big capybaras or small gryphons. I pictured the latter as lion-sized.

I just noticed that The Wild Before's author is listed as Torday Piers instead of Piers Torday on this site. I don't see a contact form anywhere.

This summer I’m working as a camp counselor, and one of the kids I was in charge of this week was a major Harry Potter fan. It made me realize that Harry Potter is still a huge franchise, especially among little kids who are unaware of who J.K. Rowling really is. I don’t support J.K Rowling at all and frankly believe her prejudices are present all throughout her writing, but I’d hate to discourage the love of reading I see in children like this one, and nobody should be mad at a nine-year-old for not knowing the details of J.K. Rowling’s horrible actions, which is why I thought it might be nice to compile a list of books to hand kids that aren’t Harry Potter.
I know there are already some lists like this, and I don’t want to copy anyone else’s idea, so I came up with some specific criteria:
Basically any series that’s just as much fun and not nearly as problematic as Harry Potter will do. I really just want any series that could get a kid hooked on reading the way Harry Potter successfully has for decades. It would be great to have some books with better representation as well!

I haven't read the original books, but I found this graphic novel's pacing to be engaging throughout. I don't like the artwork as much as the previous arc's, though. The scenery is pretty, but the cats' poses are a lot stiffer, and it doesn't use colour as dramatically.

It says that griffon/opinicus hybrids are considered griffons if they have forepaws and opinici if they have foretalons, but shouldn't it be the other way around?
EDIT: I didn't notice the griffon on the cover had forepaws when I originally wrote this. My confusion stems from what those terms mean in real mythology.

It mostly focuses on humans, and the phoenix special effects wouldn't be too hard to do, since plenty of movies have actors riding CGI and/or animatronic creatures. There's also a lot of visual spectacle, such as a room made of diamonds and the kissing scenes. I can see this being marketed to The Hunger Games crowd, since it's about teenagers falling in love while competing in a dangerous sport.
I don't believe that every book NEEDS a Hollywood adaptation to be worthy of discussion, I'm just making an observation.
