I have never read any books by Cambria before and Iām absolutely obsessed. The way she wicked me in just from the first page, I just knew without a doubt that this book was going to make me yearn as I flipped through these pages.
First off, with someone with rheumatoid arthritis; the representation of RA was so amazing. From the joint stiffness to the redness to the naps, top tier. I havenāt found any books with my own diagnosis and Cabria definitely did the RA justice. I mean, she is living with it like me š I love the arthritis moment when Rhett tells Ghost and how he was like youāre too young to have it. It literally was like I was living through his eyes and I love that.
I love how instant their attraction was with one another. From the moment he saved him, Ghost just wanted to protect him.
From the Dora and the bookbag to the freaking creamers, I was all in for these two. They had their little banter that would make me laugh and then the ridiculous stuff that would happen.
When Rett was at work and Ghost pretty much told the guy on the phone that he would come after him, I could not believe it because as unhinged as he was, he was also over protective over his guy.
I loved the found family in here. I love a book when itās not just focused on the main characters but how we get the side characters and how they really make you smile and laugh.
And the epilogue is absolutely perfect!
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
