This is a the story of Winston a neurotic worker who re-writes history all day, everyday. We follow his journey as he slowly rebels against the machine that runs his everyday life
I found this to be deeply disturbing and eerily similar to the United States media and the current international relations we are living in. Where is a constant push and pull in the direction of one side then another, with a switch off that always feels the same.
I read this for my Read Responsibly bookclub on Fable and I actually really enjoyed the ending, the plot was not tied up in a perfect bow. Rather in a realistic mirror to what was happening at the time, it was more impactful that way.
