I love that Caleb calls Whit “Baby”. I think Whit shocked himself when he gave Caleb the contract and not the nice girl who was there before him. It’s cute how Caleb said he is a clean person but he is anything but. How sweet is it that Whit uses his kindle as a ruse to make it look like he’s reading but really he’s paying attention to Caleb. Whit answering Aunt Del’s call is a big deal. I like how needy Caleb is when he’s sick. I adore Caleb’s family. It’s adorable how Caleb always pouts when he doesn’t get his way but Whit always gives in. That ending is absolutely beautiful.

Grayson joins a PCU insomnia forum where other students with insomnia can connect. Grayson starts talking to a girl who goes by LittleTooMuch and enjoys their conversations. Once Grayson meets his best friend Kai’s sister Harlow he seems to not want to be on the forum as much. What happens when you meet your pen pal in real life?

I love all the nicknames Grayson calls Harlow. It’s horrible how Harlow has been treated in the past but she is so strong for surviving every day and moving forward. I couldn’t stop smiling when they first met and Grayson said he felt peace being around her. Harlow’s first look at Grayson had her trying to figure out if he was a tr!gger or a safe space. I’m glad she decided he’s a safe space. That bagel scene was such a relief to Harlow. The way Grayson gives Harlow space to decide for herself what she wants is the sweetest thing ever. I couldn’t contain my happiness on movie night. That first coffee shop scene with the two of them was everything. That ending was epic.

Shay was hit in her abdomen with a shot that had wolfsbane in it. Shay thinks this shot was meant for the feral wolf, Dirge. Dirge stood there at Shay’s side trying to protect her still in his wolf form. Shay realizes this is her fated mate. Shay didn’t know if Dirge could feel the mate bond like she could but she hoped he did.

I did not expect Shay to find her fated mate that way. When Shay was taken to get stitched up I was so upset they put Dirge in a feral cell. Shay going right to Dirge is so sweet. I’m obsessed with how Dirge realized they wouldn’t let him out if he didn’t cooperate so he actually did it. I’m so proud at how good Dirge did with all the tests Shay and Kane put him through. It’s funny how many different nicknames Leigh came up with for Dirge while he stayed a wolf. I do love how protective Dirge is of Shay even when it’s only the pack doctor trying to help her. Those twists just kept coming. What a great ending that was.
