Because of The Gilda Stories, most of the books I read have vampires. I love the lore but I'm neither here nor there when it comes to vamp morality. I'm all for Kidan's hatred for them in this story tho and am finding that I hate the vamps of this universe too lol. Question: Are we supposed to be rooting for Kidan and Susenyos to have some ETL arc because I'm not getting that vibe at all. I get that Susenyos is horny but like, it's for blood, not Kidan specifically. Edit: If I don't see authors of color in your reading lists I shan't engage. Thank you for your time.

I read this a while back and while I don't remember a tone about it, I remember enjoying it and it being a fun read!
