Can't believe there is no post here 😭 omg I need to talk to someone about how obsessed I am with this saga

Even though I am not done reading it I have mixed feelings about this book. I was so excited that I could FINALLY read it, I've heard so much about this book but ... I personally do not see why it was so popular. Plot wise I feel like there is not much going on (maybe something will happen later on?) It started to be slightly more interesting now, after almost 400pages. But besides thats, I really enjoy the world building. As an Italian who lives in Asia and is still learning the language I relate a lot to some thoughts about translation. Especially when it comes to asian languages, and the difficulty to translate some words to english/italian.

Someone you are still thinking about and searching for vibe references on Pinterest. Xaden and bat boys don't count!🤭 I still think about Blake from Wolf King series and Ryan Shay from The right move 🖤

Does anyone remember the book/book series that got them into reading? I can't remember the very first book I read but I distinctly remember reading The Castle in The Attic and The Borrowers which completely changed the way I viewed my day-to-day. I always found myself trying to catch tiny people walking around tree trunks or the rooms in my house. They definitely fed my love and hope for fairies as a child.

What book(s) (stand-alone or series) had you so in love (with the characters/world/etc.) that you were heartbroken when it was over?
Right now, I can only think of The Daevabad Trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty. I know I have more that I can’t think of right now but I both love and hate books like these make me feel.

A collection of the pilot books for popular series, for those of us who love to follow a character's journey for as long as an author will let us! Some of the below series have heavily debated starting points and book read orders--in those cases the pilot was selected based on what seems to be the most popular approach.
