Why does she keep strangling herself 🤪 Is it common to raise a hand to your throat in surprise? I’ve never read that description before

hi hi!! since we’re nearing the end of the month i was wondering what are you guys’ reading plans for what remains of august!! any books you’re in the middle of and want to finish before september starts? any books you’d like to squeeze in?
my august tbr was hard to achieve because i was too ambitious and i had quite a hectic month but i’m gonna try my best to stick to it until the end!!

Now that i've figured out how to actually find the post button on mobile, i wanna take a moment to say what a great community pagebound has, and what a great site and app it is. Except for a select few, I've only met nice people on here so far, and i'm surprised with how active the community is. Idk how many users pagebound has, but i'd bet it's way less than something like bluesky, and yet the interaction on here is tenfold what i see on bluesky. Pagebound users really put the social back in social media, and it feels so nice. Thanks to you people this is quickly becoming my second favourite social (number one will always be tumblr, my roots on there go too deep) Cheers and happy reading!

this was messy as hell (affectionate) in the way that i think all reality tv should be. unfortunately way too many harry potter references for my taste, but it was a fun romp otherwise

Okay, i feel like I am going insane. Is there a way to post in the club via the mobile app or is that a browser-only feature?? Idk why it would be, but when I'm in the pagebound club tab on mobile there just isn't a post button anywhere. Sometimes the section with my followed accounts' currently reading books glitches out of existence, so idk if this is also a glitch, but i've restarted the app multiple times now. I had to log in on my mobile browser to even make this post 😭
EDIT: Thank you all for your replies, i am both grateful and battled and will probably send in a request to add a post button to the discuss tab

I absolutely loathe books which are more than 700 pages and are interconnected The only exception to this is Chloe walsh books I couldn't finish the zodiac academy and stopped on book 4 or 5 cause the twins were going through it
Do we really need long books?

….but how do I undo an upvote I gave on a post? I would think that reclicking the up arrow would remove it, but it doesn’t do anything. I guess it could just be something with my phone but idk. I just noticed this, so I’m not sure if it’s always been that way.

Shout out to all the PB users doing the hard work of identifying and notifying people of AI books, book covers, posts, comments. We see you! I will shout out LaDonnaQ putting in the work this week 🫶 Feel free to drop your favorite PB user, booktuber, booktok account etc., who hasn't given up on getting the word out on grifters!
And honestly, I applaud AI users who at least own it--it's the audacity of trying to hide AI use that is causing the paranoia and false accusations. I'm sure there's an audience of people who don't care about reading produced content if it scratches an itch for them. And the rest of us can make an informed decision on whether or not we want to waste time reading something the writer could not even be bothered to take time writing.
Is there a way to tag (or block!!) authors/books who openly admit to using AI in their process?
