  • Jumping between different half read books?

I have recently acquired a habit of jumping between half or quarterly read books. I'm not sure why, maybe because of the novelty of a new book because I got so used to jumping between different YouTube videos, shorts and posts that I got used to it. Even if it is a book I'm interested in or want to see what happens I suddenly avoid it or forget about it. I do this with non-book things too like hobbies or TV, I was watching Star Trek this year and I love it a lot but I have been stuck on season 2 ep 10 since June, and it's nearing the end of August now -_-

It sometimes gets to the point I will avoid media I know I would like just because I know I'll only half finish it then dip for no reason.

I wonder if anyone else struggles with this too, because I hear a lot of people talk about being incapable of putting a book down, binging series' or reading one 500 page book in a day and I've never felt that way before.

  • 1st Person hate?

You guys I've been seeing readers say 1st person POV turns them off reading books and I was neverrr aware that there was a good percentage of people who really dislike 1st person. I'm so curious what are yg thoughts? 1st person yay or nay? Time and place? Preferred povs?

  • Trans lives matter more than HP

I’m just looking for more people to follow who hold this belief. I recently made a comment on here on a quest that we as a community shouldn’t platform HP because of the harm JKR is doing to trans people like me and I’m being called a book burner for this when I never called for book burning. JKR enacts politically violence and has assaulted a trans woman (took upskirt photos of this woman) and I’m tired of being told I’m a book burner when I ask people not to platform for that. Her money she earns from HP is being used to hurt trans people like me. I just need other people to follow on here with the same beliefs because I’m tired and feeling ostracized in the book community for believing Trans lives matter more than a stupid book
