Diving into this head first! This is my first Brandon Sanderson read so far and I've been promised much! At 40 pages I'm really intrigued by the prologue and the magic system, generally it is alright to read, taking into account that this a brick of a fantasy book. The battle scene was, well, a battle scene, I'm not the biggest fan of detailed battle descriptions (sorry Tolkien) but I am getting the notion it served some bigger purpose so I will accept it 🙂↕️ Looking forward to reading more (if I find time these days 🫠)

The chapter title being Mad and then the first line being "You're mad" 🤣

Maybe I missed it but did they ever say how this color caste system got implemented? Specifically how they got people to have the same hair and eye color?

I would classify this one as a fun, potato-chip thriller. Was it most well written book ever? No. But I have to give it credit for keeping me hooked and guessing for a good chunk of the book. The ending did end up falling a bit flat for me, just wasn't able to carry the same momentum as the beginning to middle parts of the story. Millie is basically that gal from the movie Promising Young Woman by the end of this.
