This follows Kelly and Logan. Kelly is following in her fatherās footsteps and is currently an apprentice under her mentor, Logan. Logan promised Kellyās father he would protect his legacy by taking over the Black Rabbit Tattoo Shop. Kelly has always had a crush on Logan, but heās never allowed himself to look at her that way. Now Kelly wants something more serious in her life, but Logan refuses to let it happen until heās forced to step up and stop hiding his feelings. Things become even more complicated when Kelly gains a stalker. Can Logan keep her safe?
Starting with the audiobook, it was absolutely fantastic. I loved Chloe and James narrating this story they fit the characters so well and really brought everything to life.
This is my first Sloane book, and it definitely wonāt be my last. The stalker twist genuinely shocked me, and I loved it. Kelly is such a brilliant character; we get to see a wide range of raw emotions, and she doesnāt shy away from intimate or difficult conversations. Logan, on the other hand, is closed off but completely obsessed with Kelly. Everything he does is for her to keep her safe and protect the business. He has that grumpy, protective energy that I absolutely love.
These two had incredible chemistry and gave off strong soulmate vibes, alongside some deliciously spicy scenes.
A huge standout for me was the fatherās legacy and the letters he left behind. That element made the story feel incredibly emotional and added so much depth to the main charactersā undeniable connection. Along side the ASL rep.
I look forward to reading the rest of this series and more of Sloans work in the future.

This follows Roman, whose grandfather has passed away, leaving a clause in his will that requires Roman to marry quickly to keep the ranch. Thatās when he meets a mysterious woman who keeps trespassing on his land to swim. Niamh is grieving the loss of her father and struggling to stay afloat. Drawn together what could go wrong and at what cost?
Itās so good to be back reading another Ria Wilde book. I loved the romantic suspense element, especially how Niamh is quietly struggling with the loss of her father while trying to keep the bar running. She carries so much on the inside and isnāt one to openly express her emotions, which made her journey feel emotional. I really enjoyed watching her slowly open up throughout the story, especially with the help of the grumpy cowboy Ronan.
Ronan gives off strong gruff, closed-off vibes but in the most delicious way. Heās fiercely protective of his family and the people he loves, and that side of him completely won me over. Their first interaction perfectly set the tone for the book, and from there the chemistry only grew stronger. Add in the delicious spice and a suspenseful plot woven through the romance, and this was such an enjoyable read.
I only want to mention a few minor things. I did end up guessing who was behind the suspense plot, so I wasnāt shocked or surprised by the other charactersā involvement. There were also a couple of scenes that felt a little short. For example, when Ronan went with her to the falls one of the times. Within a paragraph she was in and out of the water so quickly it moved on to the next scene. It seemed like a quick filler or honestly didnāt need to be there. That said, these are small, personal preferences and didnāt take away too much from my overall enjoyment.

This follows Teddy, who suffers a serious injury during an NHL match in front of millions. He wakes up in the hospital with his life completely changed, forced to come to terms with his condition and navigate a world of darkness until he meets Ivy, the nurse assigned to his care who keeps him in line. Being a big hockey fan, Teddy was her teenage crush. Can they keep it strictly professional?
I really enjoyed this one. I havenāt read a medical romance in a while, and this hit all the emotions.
Starting with Ivy sheās a passionate nurse with an Ice Cross dream. I loved how she kept Teddy in line and made his hospital stay just a little easier. Iād never even heard of Ice Cross before, and after looking it up, itās absolutely insane and would be so hard. Ivy as a character is brilliant.
Then we have Teddy. My heart hurt for him. In one moment, his life completely flipped. I genuinely thought this major accident would lead to hope for a near-full recovery, even if it came with risks. But wow, was I wrong and that was brilliant to me. The chemistry, yearning the slight touches, and them trying to hold back their feelings had me completely rooting for them.
I do want to mention a few things I picked up on that didnāt feel fully wrapped up, as well as one aspect that felt a bit odd given the day and age we live in with modern technology. Just be mindful slight spoilers ahead.
The player responsible for Teddyās condition ā it was mentioned that the incident was being investigated and that many people felt he should be banned from the NHL. Forgive me if I missed it, but I donāt recall a clear conclusion to this. I was also surprised that he was named as potentially joining the Ice Cross circuit. It felt like this was going to become part of the plot, but then it just disappeared.
The three months of long distance ā I was honestly shocked that, despite being in different time zones, they constantly missed each otherās calls and relied on voicemails. Then after about a month, they didnāt communicate at all not even texting. I understand the voice memos as a beautiful and sweet addition, but I struggled to believe that Ivy or Teddy couldnāt send a quick text. Especially since they got together just days before her three-month stint. They just started dating thatās the honeymoon phase where they are so in love you would make the effort to try, even just sending a few text messages.
Teddyās visual impairment ā after he left the hospital, I would have liked more insight into how he was getting to appointments. I wouldāve loved to see moments of struggle or frustration, especially while he was missing Ivy in that three month period.
Only for the few minor points I really enjoyed this one! Iām looking forward to picking up more of K.H. Anastasiaās work in the future.
