"Not supporting someone won't change who they are, it will just make their life harder."
I noticed that binding with tape was left out, as I couldn't find any mention of it in this book - but that's the only slightly negative thing I have to say! I've been out as a trans man for a bit, and have been a big fan of Jamie and Shaaba for a while now, but still managed to learn some things from this book. I loved reading the answers to the questions given to other trans people, especially the analogies about what it's like to be trans. This book is great for trans people and allies alike, a good book to give to the allies who support the trans people in their lives but are still a bit confused. Trans joy is resistance!
Content warnings: Graphic: Transphobia, Dysphoria Moderate: Religious bigotry Minor: Homophobia, Lesbophobia, Outing

Would've been a five star read for me, but it took way longer than I thought to read it, didn't realise it was a classic until half way through the book. Enjoyed it to an extent, but don't think I'll be reading the other two books in the series. A quote that made me think - "I'm the eldest! Sophie shrieked. "I'm a failure!" "Garbage!" Howl shouted. "You just never stop to think!" Content Warnings - Body horror, Death, Fire, Medical content, Grief
