Creepy crawling vines, sentient mushrooms, or a killer forest; no matter what shape they take, plants and fungi play a main part in these horror novels.

Each of us holding a hoof of Pinkie Pie, her small, plastic animal companion. “Have you ever heard of bronies?” I asked her.
i don't know if i'm strong enough for this 😭
Post from the We Love You, Bunny (Bunny, #2) forum
When I read the first book I found Sam very dislikeable- she's pretentious and judgemental, whereas the bunnies are more complex and interesting. This isn't a criticism- I interpreted Sam's behaviour as a commentary on female social dynamics.
Given how unlikable Sam is (imo), I'm really hoping the sequel will reveal her to be the 'true villain' somehow, but at 25% in it doesn't seem likely lol.

well this book definitely has me thinkin’. whether or not i really enjoyed it, im not too sure. it was a sloooow burn, but by the end i kinda fell in like-like with it (not in love). a lot of the themes are relatable to a woman in her 20’s, like myself, but sometimes it felt like we’d get somewhere really interesting… and then never delve deeper.
if ‘no plot, just vibes’ and deep introspection is not your thing, i wouldn’t recommend it bc this is definitely not your typical vampire tale. our mc is a young woman entering the world on her own for the first time and figuring life out just like the rest of us and she just happens to be a vampire. not the other way around, if that makes sense.
this was such a departure from the vampire literature i usually consume, but im glad i did. the last time i tried reading a book with sad girl literary fiction vibes, i swore off the genre forever 😭 however this book gave me hope that perhaps i could enjoy this genre! maybe!!
