Yes, he's a stalker.
But he's a nice stalker.
Tbh, I think about Josh a lot still. Book boyfriend fr, I love a cat dad and a man that can satisfy my feelings for masked men.
He's my favorite chaotic green flag

Going to read this soon in the spirit of Mate coming out and bc spooky season.
Am I about to trust a man who has a buzzcut? Am I about to be drawn to him?
Probably.

Mate is calling my name with sweet sweet joy, I am grabbing a coffee and then going to sit down and dive in! I have the kindle copy. So exciting! It looks like there may be a lot of push and pull, the blurb seems like Koen is respectful enough though (would not expect anything less even though he’s prickly) and I just hope there are not any miscommunication tropes or anything that causes too much extended drama for the sake of 'plot'.

This is a DNF review, I ended at 35%
Here's why.
First and foremost, I will say thank you for the chance to read this ARC.
Secondly, the author has admitted to using AI in previous versions of her books. She has addressed the situation but I personally am not sure if I can see myself supporting future works.
This book in general, I was excited to read it at first. Age Gap? Teacher Student? Say less. But to put it lightly, it was almost a bit too insta-lust for me. I wanted to get to know some of the character's a bit more before they got into it with each other. Sex after every chapter? I can tolerate it if it made sense.
And then the whole way that bisexuality was addressed. The FMC would only kiss girls if she got drunk and used her best female friend to make others jealous. That was just a very off putting thing to me.

I got bored mid-way through chapter 1 and it was getting a little annoying. I might come back one day.

I'm new here so deal bear with me.
If you see my DNFs having reviews I just wanted to give a reason. I swear I'm not a hater, stay tuned for all my further yapping on books I love (there are a lot)

This book is very popular and I wanted to love it, but I did not. First page, I really couldn't stand Aiden. Does this make me a hater? Maybe. Maybe one day I could come back to this.

hi still very new to this app but i want to know if im the only one who will dnf a book for the smallest thing,, most of the books i listen are through audiobooks and if the narrators voice is slightly too high pitched or the characters are annoying ( constantly saying they’re small or just whiny) i immediately stop reading them. soooo I’m quite curious about what makes you all dnd a book hehehe (:

So I’m just leaving thoughts. DNF on like page 2. I like to give reasons why I didn’t like the book because well sure why not.
The writing wasn’t it for me. From the start, Nico? Yeah, no. Felt like he was trying to hard. I even tried to skim to chapter 2 with Lauren. Also not it for me.
I did have a lot of hope for this, I loved Lights Out, but this didn’t hit. Full disclaimer that I also wasn’t asking for Nico to be another Josh, that’s not the reason here, I just didn’t like him as a character. I also didn’t want this to be another Lights Out, it’s a different story, I get it.
It wasn’t for me, a huge let down tbh
