I'm remembering a TikTok where someone showed the difference between a STUBBORN FMC and a STRONG FMC and so far, Saeris is just being stubborn. I mean...the fact that she saw how the people close her were hurt by the guardians justifies why she's so defensive but atp it doesn't seem like it's a protective measure anymore and honestly, it's making her a little unlikeable because she's not making smart decisions, something that I thought would be important if you have something to protect. Also, the way she's written is so cliche and seems like every other romantasy FMCs I have read about.
I also really dislike Hayden (literally an adult man-child) and it just seems a little unrealistic that he could grow up like that in the environment that he grew up in. Idk if he's too sheltered (which I think should be impossible) or something but omg he's pissing me off.
I'm like 8% into this book and I already feel like it's going to be overrated but I'll see how it goes ig 👀
