OMG yay we did it!! We finally made it. Friday is here and it felt it took forrrr fawking ever!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday (I know in other countries, Saturday is just starting for you, but you're not forgotten)
Here's a little praise and positive energy. You are loved and wanted. I am so proud of everyone for pushing through what ever you have going on in your life. You earned that cookie!
Now that being said: What was your freaky, feral and/or funny reads? Mine was Fall of Dawn by Celia Aaron. It's definitely more gore freaky than anything. The spice was...okayy, I felt it could have been better but the author was rushing it.
I hope to be back on my feral reads! I miss it

I ended up really liking this one! It was a tried and true premise with well-rounded characters that I could root for! The spice is great, but if you're not into semi (or fully-ish) public sex, it may not be for you. Oakley is a FANTASTIC name for a fictional hockey player and is now on my baby names list.

I have no idea what the appeal is, but I'm nuts for a quiet but not brooding or scary MMC. The quiet isn't being weaponized, it just is a part of that character for some other reason and the other main character engages with it nbd. That's this book. A great way to spend a Friday!
I didnt really like the first book in this series and because of that I sat on this one for quite awhile before realizing it had a quiet character (even though voice is literally in the title - sometimes I'm just not the quickest, it's part of my charm, I'm sure). After this installment, I'm excited to sort who book 3 focuses on (there are lots of options).

Tammie commented on Pommeterra's review of Emery (Unexpected, #3)
Audiobook narrators were great, but there was either a typo or a slip-up in one chapter when one character refers to the other by his own name.
The book was fine. It's not my favorite MM title by a long shot. I liked Emery and his chaotic voice. I found it endearing. But Austin felt underdeveloped. Emery has quirks, disabilities, and lore, but all I can tell you about Austin is that he seems to be neurotypical and I think he plays baseball as a hobby? If there is more to him, it wasn't memorable. I don't think I would recommend this book.

Lost a bit of interest in the middle but I'm glad I pushed through as it picked up towards the end.
