"Being left aching and hollow was a familiar feeling. A comfortable pain.
Andrew had always been an empty boy." . . . Andrew Minyard I find you in every book I read

Ā«What is love, really? People have the right to fall in love, but not the right to be loved. I fell in love with Nishino, but thatās not to say that he was then required to fall in love with me.Ā»

What a wild ride, from start to finish. «The Merge» is a stunning debut. For fans of Severance and Black Mirror, «The Merge» asks the question; How far would you go to never say goodbye?
Laurie has Alzheimerās. Her daughter Amelia will do anything to make her mother better - including giving up her own body. Through the process of Ā«mergingĀ», two people can inhabit one body. Itās seemingly the greatest cure to any disease. Healthy meets diseased, and the disease dies. Giving up your own life feels like an easy decision, right? Except, it isnāt. As Laurie and Amelia dive deeper into the process, things slowly start to unravel around them. They were warned about grief - but nothing could ever prepare them for the true reality behind Ā«The MergeĀ».
Grace Walkers debut is a slow start, until it becomes a pageturner. I highly recommend this to any science fiction fan - all though the ending might make you scream at the book for a solid minute after the last word has been read.

It really breaks my heart to read about Lorās Alzheimerās and how she feels essentially trapped in her own head. Reminds me of my late grandma too. š

This is the second worst book Iāve ever read, only slightly beaten by Honeysuckles. I refuse to believe this is anything but a parody of romantasy novels.

It boggles my mind that the first book ever got published. I dread to read this one.
