I was a little nervous about this book, because ARCS (esp from indie authors) are a hit or miss in my experience. Honestly, iām pleasantly surprised how the stories progressing and iām invested!!

I'm keeping this one brief because this book already has a plethora of reviews, and no one needs me to reiterate how good this book is. The hype is very, very well-deserved.
I'm not a fan of character-driven stories, and I often end up DNFing them. This is a character-driven story. I could not put it down. It is so engaging and emotional, it had me crying and filled with so much joy.
I also tend to skip/skim smut scenes after the 2nd or 3rd in a book, usually because I find they don't add to the plot or character-development and I want to get back to that. The amount of emotion and depth that Rachel Reid put into those smut scenes though? It actually had me reading smut for the plot. Like yes they were hot š„µ, but they also had so much depth. This book is just so worth the hype.

This book made me mad.
It was hard to decide on a rating for this, because the ending and a lot of the book was disappointing, but I was still engaged while reading. I'd rather read a bad book than a boring book, and this wasn't a boring book. However, there was a lot about it that didn't work for me.
First, her family is AWFUL. How did they have absolutely zero redeeming qualities?? And the plot for her family drama felt very unresolved, in my opinion.
I very much disagree with the boy she ended up with. They had no chemistry. He barely had a personality. I realize this is harsh, but I'm just so frustrated that she didn't end up with the other guy who actually had a personality and chemistry with her!
I also felt the ending didn't really wrap everything up that well? It felt very rushed. I felt like things were thrown in there last minute with no buildup just to solve a plot point without any of the characters having to develop much, or like a scapegoat to avoid conflict between characters.
Would I recommend this book? Probably not. However, if you are okay with a not great ending, it was still an engaging read, so you might want to give it a try.
Thank you Netgalley and Penguin Young Readers Group for the digital review copy! All opinions are honest and my own.

The fact that they moved the release date from March to October is hurting my soul š I want people to read this so I can yell about it with them!!

Now that I'm tinkering with some book tracker spreadshees, I started thinking of the first ever book tracker I had.
When I was around 12 years old, my mom gifted me a beautiful notebook with a drawing of The Little Prince on its cover: I started tracking all my books in it, simply making a name list with their genres next to them (color coded of course).
On top of that, I kinda destroyed my bookshelf by taping pieces of papers with genre names on it, peeling the paint off once my mom told me to remove it š¤£
What was your first book tracking method?

Hi everyone,
As someone who works in and is studying medicine at the moment, I wanted to ask my colleagues in healthcare (or even those very health literate) what the biggest medical error or description was they've read in a book.
And while it may be funny, I don't mean when male authors describe female anatomy as something physically unrealistic or impossible.

I stick on random drama videos sometimes as background noise and got to this one. Ended up being an interesting watch honestly. The youtuber actually reached out to the author and got their side of the story as well and goddamn, yeah that is some intense harassment. It looks like the harasser hasn't found this site (yet) though.
I did my own research into this and yeah, all I can find is the shady reviews with no evidence. The list of accusations against the author is absolutely insane, there's no way she's done all of that (including doxxing??) without a shred of evidence floating around online. + Multiple of the harassing reviews being posted before ARCs even released. So like, how is there even time for them to read the book, post a negative review, and have it get taken down and then post another lmao.
I'm not much of a romantasy person so I probably won't pick this up (EDIT: Apparently it's not a romantasy!!), but just posting this to let others know. To me, in my opinion, it does really look like someone is trying to take out her career before it starts. Of course this could just be the biggest, most insane marketing campaign long-con in the world and/or she is like the worst person in the world as is alleged.. but to start the year with a bit of optimism and trust š
(reposted cause I accidentally posted with the spoiler tag on lol)
