She just met the guy—and is obviously afraid of him—yet she insists on discussing the size of his cock? What a pathetic attempt to force sexual tension into a scene.

The worldbuilding so far is fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. I wish more effort had gone into building a truly oppressive, stifling atmosphere. Simply throwing a lot of death at the reader isn’t enough to paint a convincing dystopian setting.
The MC is your typical feisty, rough-around-the-edges “badass”—unfortunately quite predictable.
In terms of writing, the occasional use of modern language and cursing feels out of place in a fantasy setting, reminding me of Fourth Wing—and not in a good way.
