Hello friends!
I am completing a bingo card challenge for a local bookstore, and there are two prompts left that I would love some recommendations for š„° They are:
Historical romance NOT set in the UK or US
Disabled Main Character, Written by a Disabled Author (my preference here would be fantasy or mystery but Iām open to anything you think is really good!**
Thanks so much!

Iām curious whether others have this dilemma too š does anyone else have series on their radars that theyāre super interested in starting, but havenāt simply because of the length of the books/series? If so, what are they? For me itās the Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown. Iām a pretty slow reader who likes to finish a series without too many other books in between, so I suppose I am intimidated by the idea of diving into a long time commitment lol

I really do not need to be reminded of everything that happened in the previous book. I am on chapter 4 and it feels like as of now I've read more of the recap than of the actual plot.

This is on one side a coming of age story, on the other side it's a satirical and rather cynical take on progress, national identity, religion, role of language and more. It is rather simply written, but I couldn't put it away. The story leaves you with a lot of questions, because it appears there is no right choice. It is also very mystical, full of what appears to me an exaggerated Estonian folklore.

I enjoyed the story and it took me out of a reading slump. However a lot in this book is based on miscommunication and the characters can be annoying. If you cannot stand it, you'll hate it.
