TW: general gore, necrophilia, mention of alcoholism

C tier horror movie level vibe. The horror was underwhelming for me personally. Writing was too plain and choppy. This novella actually felt too short for what it was trying to. The fact of the matter is the most interesting part was cut was too short. The pacing was all over the pace with it being kind of fast in certain part and slow in others. This was sad, disappointing let down.

With all good things, things must come to an end.

Man, I have struggled to come together with my thoughts on this one. I really wanted to love this short story collection and it was just meh. Writing didn't help with some of the stories I felt like I was reading stories that were supposed to be connected somehow yet they felt shallow in that. It also didn't seem clear that it was an interconnected short story collection cause I kept noticing other characters from different stories and was sure about why they were in the story. With the addition of two stories that both started as well as end the collection that didn't seem important to have them. They didn't add much to the collection.

I did have some favorites: tendril lullaby, real life tests, and a place where people raised their kids.
