Hellow boundlings! I hope you're having a great morning/afternoon/evening where ever you are.
I think we need to hype up unknown and indie authors more, so what are your CRIMINALLY underrated book recs? Like an almost non-existent (or just non-existent) fandom on PB.
For me, it's Last Stop by Gloria Oliver, which I finished earlier this month, at least I think so. I'm the ONLY one who's finished and rated it. Literally only one review which is mine. It has less than 10 posts as well, mostly mine probably and another person's from what I remember. There's no one to talk to about it so I'm kinda losing my mind. 😇 It's a contemporary fantasy thriller, something I don't think I've read before, but it's really unique! The characters are diverse as well, which I loved.
Fun fact, I found out about this book through a giveaway on here! If it weren't for PB, I probably wouldn't have discovered it, so thank you PB 🙂↕️
This is basically how it felt after reading this book:

I’ve got a few series I’m trying to get through and when I’m done with one book, I like to read something different (mainly horror) before starting the next one but I’m running out of ideas. So please give me recs for horror books you’ve enjoyed, that are on the short side. Extreme horror is welcome but not required :)

By that I mean a book that you think you are going to fall so desperately in love with, or else that is going to change you so deeply, or even that you are scared to dislike, that you cannot get on with it? If so, why?
For my part, I've been sitting on Always Coming Home by Ursula K. Le Guin for months. She's my absolute favourite author and ever since I was, I think, eleven and a poor writer I've wanted to make a fictional anthropological textbook. God, even just inventories of people's lives, without the need for an overarching plot. Having this book in my shelves is taunting and wistful and wonderful all at the same time, and I'm scared I'm going to love it so much that I will become a mad acolyte.
