Loved this, the angst, the yearning, the emotion was perfect! This was a excellent follow up to book one. In this story we have Linnea, our MFC, she’s been burned in the love game, betrayed and hurt, she is just trying to survive without losing everything. Then we have Aiden, our MMC and billionaire CEO, he is controlled, loves fiercely, but has things he needs to work through. It’s rare to find a book two that is as good as the first book, but this is one of those rare instances! The writing is excellent, it is so easy to fall into this book and get carried away in the story, the character development is well written, the emotion comes across perfectly and you can’t help but feel what our MCs are feeling, you just fall in love with them. It had it all, moments of self-discovery, betrayal, heartbreak, moments that make you goofy smile or laugh out loud, angst, and spice. I loved it, and will definitely be coming back for a re-read. This is a fantastic contemporary workplace forbidden romance, and a must read!

This book was intense, emotive and action packed! The underlying story of the series really ramps up in this book. This is Book 9 in The Rossi’s Legacy series, and it is the continuation of Sienna Rossi and Jayce Westwood’s story, and we finally get their hard earned HEA. Sienna has changed greatly from the person she was before she entered the God’s Realm, and we spend this book learning just how much she has grown. She’s strong, fierce and determined, a far cry from the shell of a girl we saw in book seven. Then we have Jayce, his journey is harder as he deals with grief and the bond with Sienna, he’s running from his problems which he is forced to face in this story, and it hurts, but some of it is his own fault. The story is one of of intense emotions, grief, struggling, secrets, revelations, hope, and determination. We see Sienna fight for their bond by showing up, being herself, understanding when Jayce needs space and when to push (with a little help). We find out why Jayce is really keeping her at arms length and it’s lovely to watch them work through it and we get back to having some really sweet moments. We also get to see more of the family dynamics, and extended family, which is great. The action in this story was epic, we see some really big revelations that will leave you reeling, plus we see Sienna come into her full power which is just awesome! This really was another heart pumping rollercoaster, and the ending is bittersweet, such a sweet moment yet knowing what is coming. This is an brilliant continuation to the series and I cannot wait for the next instalment!

I loved this! S.J. Tilly is a new to me author and a new favourite. This book was funny, filled with action, insta-love in a fated mates setting that isn’t overbearing or all about the feelings. I had so much fun reading this story, and Volik that I quickly read beforehand. In this story we have Rune, our MFC, she’s a wanderer, never settling in one place for too long, has always felt like she’s searching for something or somewhere. Then we have Vameer, our MMC, an ancient vampire, he’s possessive, has a reputation that is not unfounded, and has been a sleep for a very long time. There was so much in this book. I loved the individual story, meeting Vameer and seeing the world through his eyes bought a lot of humour to the story, as well as a little sadness at how much time he missed. The insta-love was not overdone, I love how Rune internally questioned the bond but ultimately accepted it based on what she saw of Vameer. There was also the undercurrent of the series, the human world becoming aware of the supernatural, the political interference that created intrigue. It all came together to make a funny, action packed, captivating read! I recommend that you read Volik first, that book sets out this universe and whilst they are standalones, Volik introduces a lot of the characters we see again in Vameer.

4.5 stars and 1 chilli rating. This book had me absorbed, I blinked and it was finished, which is such a shame because I just wanted to keep reading! Even now my mind is like, it can’t have ended there, but that cliffhanger… oof. Now I’m just desperate for book two. In this story we have Soraya aka Rae, our MFC, she’s awkward, introvert, super smart, loves nature, and she’s had a huge secret kept from her. Then we have Rhys, Kian, Onyx, and Torrin, our MMCs, they are kings and princes, and there is a whole lot of prejudice and stereotype for each to overcome. They don’t make it easy on our dear Rae. The story and plot sucked me in and kept me absorbed, I struggled to put the book down. Tessa’s writing is comfortable, easy to read, familiar, so it’s like slipping into your comfies and watching your favourite show. You’re pulled into the emotion of each of the characters, except for maybe Onyx, he gives nothing away. The character development is just right for book one of a series as we are only getting to know the characters, Rae herself has the most transformation based on what she goes through, but it sets book two up to be an epic journey of self discovery for all our characters and I am here for it! This was a great and if you love reverse harem, shifter romance, you will not be disappointed!

I’ve been obsessed with this book since I first got a sneak peek. I knew it was going to be my new favourite from that moment, and it didn’t disappoint, the story was amazing in so many ways! We have Eli, our first MMC, he grew up in a religious family and was raised under strict morals, a tight end in college football with dreams and aspirations. Then we have Julian, our other MMC, running back and Eli (and Luca’s) teammate, Eli’s estranged best friend, and a beautiful soul who gets himself into a toxic situation. There is so much packed into this story: the journey our MMCs go through is dark and heart-wrenching, the way their lives blow up and they work through it, healing together is epic. The roles we see from the other Sin Bin characters, how they rally around both Juls and Eli, the way we see this found family come together in this story is so humbling. On top of that we see links to other Avery books, the crossovers are brilliantly done and woven into the plot line so well. As a title, Beautiful When He Breaks is so appropriate, in so many ways, that scene, the healing, the found family, Mila, the final chapters, just beautiful. There are two guarantees when you read an Avery Collins book, 1) You’ll be emotionally shredded and love it, and 2) when it comes to Blackthorne U, you’ll want the next book in the series immediately! This is a must read and my new favourite book for 2026!

Devoured, I absolutely devoured this book! I fell in love with this story at page one, a typical city girl meets country ranch, and sigh, I was a goner. Julia is a new to me author, and I will so be delving into her back catalogue! In this story we have Sienna, our MFC, she’s been sent to fix a bad PR situation, confident, dedicated, sweet and caring, and lives to make sure her sister thrives. Then we have Brock, our MMC, he’s grumpy, stubborn, brooding, a bronc rider and very good at it, doing what he can for the family ranch. Their chemistry was instant, but it was delicious reading them deny any attraction. For Sienna it’s plausible, it could ruin her reputation and she could lose her job. For Brock, it’s just stubbornness. What unfolds is a brilliant story packed with drama, humour, comfort, a little suspense, low angst, and lots of spice. I loved the characters, they were so easy to get along with, they were down to earth and their development was great to read. The relationship arc was perfect. The plot and storyline were easy reading and the pace was spot on, reading this book was like being wrapped up in your cosiest blanket. I loved this story, and will be revisiting Sienna and Brock for a re-read, I cannot wait to see what unfolds in the rest of the series.

Wow that was a gripping, action packed follow on to the first book! It had me up reading past 2am. In this story we pick up after the events at the end of book one, and we see Lee, Leon and Atlas struggle with the loss of Zeke and their grief. Not only that, Lee still mourns the loss of Joey. But the rebellion cannot stop just because we are grieving. After the successful extraction of the first R&R compound, things pick up the pace and we dive straight into the action. We see the men in Lee’s life go off to infiltrate Eden or make plans for her, much to her annoyance and mental health. But she gets her chance, and after a tumultuous introduction to life in Eden, she starts to plot and act on taking it down from the inside. The plot doesn’t slow down one bit, we meet lots of new characters but it doesn’t become overwhelming, and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you enthralled. This story will have you in tears multiple times, give you whiplash, have your heart in your throat, your heart breaking then getting put back together then broken again then kind of healed. That ending, simply excellent. I am so excited for book three, it can’t come soon enough! If you like dystopian romance, slow burns, or stories that hurt, this series is for you.

Wow! The obsession and possession in this story is visceral, and is one heck of a rollercoaster. It’s one of the darkest books I’ve read this year and while each persons view of dark is different, always check your TWs, because your mental health matters! In this story we have Ryan, our first MMC, he is the heir, the hockey team captain, morally grey, he takes the pain so his siblings don’t have to. Thinks he’s owned by his father, but doesn’t account for... Then there is Tate, our other MMC, rival teams coach, older, controlled and controlling, psychotic, possessive, obsessive, morally black, the list goes on. There is so much to unpack in this book! We have two beautiful broken men, mistreated by evil father figures, and taking it all to protect those they truly love, whilst watching their loved ones be used against them anyway. The story takes us on a journey where they fight back, against the system, the path that’s been chosen for them, Ryan against Tate, and Tate… well he he walks in like the storm he is and takes what he wants. S. Legend is a new to me author so I didn’t know what to expect, and holy moly, I’ll be coming back for more! There is so much emotion in this story and it bleeds through the writing as you read, it’s visceral, I was so drawn into it I felt I was there alongside the characters and it was intense, heartbreaking, anger inducing, heart in throat, and every emotion in between! I loved seeing the character development, the plot is great and there are twists and turns as it develops, but don’t worry, we have a Tate. It was a hard fought HEA and the trauma remains, but it is a HEA nonetheless and the ride was epic! This is a must read, I’m going to remember this book for a long time, and it is definitely in my top three reads of 2026.

Wow, just wow! This book had me in a chokehold with its intensity, what an emotional rollercoaster! This story is the continuation in the duet and it picks up 8 years after the events at the end of Conquest, which is heartbreaking enough, but then it twists the knife more as we read two storylines resolving themselves. We start with torture and an invitation to a five families summit, what follows is a devastating set of discoveries, perceived betrayals, and events that reunite Vincenzo and Nikolaj and gives us the story of how they find each other again. It emotionally guts you and you won’t feel ok until the last page, because you’re still reeling from the end of Conquest and you want them to get their HEA you just don’t see how it can happen, and then it happens and it has you ugly crying silently at 2am trying not to wake your partner up! Then there is the resolution of the storyline from Empire, and Ruslan and Salvatore’s story. Two very hurt and lonely souls who were forced apart and lived very hard lives, while pretending they weren’t heartbroken and still didn’t love the man who broke their heart. Their reunion was bittersweet as was the conclusion to their story, you can’t help but feel for them! Sure I make it sound like I cried for most of the book, it was such a visceral rollercoaster, among the heartbreak there were sweet moments, loving moments, spicy moments, action, mafia political intrigue, and some moments of levity. My heart was put back together by the end, although it still aches when I think of this book, Avery’s writing is amazing, it deserves infinite stars and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I loved this story, it’s not your typical why choose as the two MMCs are rivals in more ways than one, which adds a different perspective and made for great reading. In this story we have Rae, our MFC, she’s a pop princess and worked hard to be recognised for her talent without using her mum’s fame to launch her career. She deeply cares about her family and those close to her, but keeps the circle small. Then we have Grayson, MMC1, pro hockey player, he’s been Rae’s best friend since childhood and harbouring a not so secret crush on Rae for forever. Then we also have Asher, MMC2, an MMA fighter, volatile, quick to temper, he self isolated from the family he was accepted into and pushed everyone away, until Rae decided to fight for him. I really liked that the story focused more on the relationship than the drama. As I said, Grayson and Asher were rivals for Rae’s affections, as well as within the family/friends circle. Seeing the relationship unfold between Rae and her two men individually, as well as the begrudging respect that grows between Grayson and Asher was really well written. The yearning between Grayson and Rae, fooling no one but themselves that they were “just friends” when really they were scared to take things further, and the moment they realised things wouldn’t fall apart was sweet and a “finally!” moment. Rae and Asher were more of an instant attraction, he challenged Rae and made her question who she is to herself, what started as a conquest for him turned into something more. The other person plot line added just the right amount of angst to the story, but really this book was about self discovery for all the main characters. The character development was great, the plot and pacing were good, the spice, angst and emotions were just right, and all wrapped up made for a really enjoyable read!

This is Book 3 in the Bear Protector series, we see a couple of cameos from the Grey Ridge series in this, and it’s great to see, but it’s not a prerequisite to read. I love the dynamic in this story, I also love that our MFC stood up for herself, and that both characters have just the right amount of stubborn, but adult enough to work through it. We have Lisa, our MFC, she’s a cop, she’s stubborn, dedicated, determined, and doesn’t take crap from anyone. I loved her sass and no nonsense attitude. Then we have Beau, our MMC, he’s also stubborn, a silent protector, dependable, and cares for the community even if they try to push him out. The story is jam packed with tension, so thick you could cut it with a knife. There’s also lots of suspense and action, and we see the overall series plot line starting to come to a head in dramatic fashion. There is a little angst, yearning, and the spice is just right and steamy. I loved the character development in this and how they were adults and worked through their issues to get their well earned HEA. This book is everything a shifter romance should be and more, you can’t go wrong with a book by Reece Barden, and this one is no different! I am so looking forward to the rest of the series.

This book was just so swoon! It will have you swooning while peeking through your fingers. In this story we have Scout, our MFC, she is a tiny genius, scarily decisive, career driven, and hyper-focused on her life plan and following it. Then we have Apollo, our MMC, fraternity president, street smart, perceptive, knows how to play the politics game, he also has a plan and… secrets. The book will hit your emotions differently, Apollo is just so swoon worthy, he can’t do a thing wrong in my eyes. I loved his devotion, his drive to be steps ahead in all aspects, but also seeing the self doubt when it comes to Scout and his family. Scout took a bit for me to warm up to but I loved her character development and was in love with her too by the end. I loved the twists this story took, the way it was written had you guessing the whole read through and the thriller elements got me good, I was screaming at my kindle. Apollo and Scout’s story is so sweet and the way their relationship develops is beautiful, but under that you have the overall series plot line mixed in, and we make huge steps forward in seeing it all start to come together for the series. This story will have you second guessing, raging against the machine, melting from the swoon, falling in love with Apollo and Scout, and gasping at the revelations. Don’t get me wrong there are dark elements to both storylines, it wouldn’t be a Kitty King book without them, but this is probably the sweetest story of hers that I have read, so far, I love it so much, I’ve read it twice already!

Oh my goodness this was an enchanting little read! Brilliantly written and so totally captivating. In this story whe have Aderyn, our first MFC, she’s a nature witch, abused and mistreated by the patriarchy and has had enough. Then we have Brenny, our other MFC, she is a genius loci, a creature that supports nature and ecosystems, being mistreated by humans as they plunder the earth around them without thought for the consequences. I loved how the writing was so descriptive, the plot and world building was wonderful and you felt the emotion and the connection between Aderyn and Brenny grow as the story moved along. I loved the strength Aderyn showed both with her eco rage and against the patriarchy, how she puzzled out her powers and flexed, it was nice to see such a boss female character. The ending was lovely, sweet and hopeful, perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novella, and totally recommend it as a great short read for the summer.

Where do I even begin?! This could so be a motion picture and I would gladly pay to see it. This was an epic tale of two men trapped in terrible circumstances, as they fought for their lives and each other. In this story we have Robin, our first MMC, he is abducted by the army of another state, ripped from his home and sister, and then assigned to be a part of the Deathball games. Then we have Marco, our other MMC, the reigning champion, the emperors favourite, and set to be freed at the end of the season. A world turned into a wasteland, where those with wealth and power rule and everyone else is left to fend for themselves. A brutal survival of the fittest competition in a survival of the fittest world, that is turned into a spectator sport. The world building is so good, and the storyline is brilliant, captivating and full of twists and turns. It will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, it is heavy from the first page, it starts with devastation, continues with angst, but will give you funny moments, sweet moments and lots and lots and lots of hurt whilst both Marco and Robin fight the system and their feelings for each other. That ending, bittersweet and hopeful, is just perfect! My favourite read of 2026 so far, you need to read it!

Wow, that cliffhanger at the end, this story really put me through the wringer, and I cannot wait for the conclusion! In this story we have Zaia, our MFC, she’s a Luna, well respected, clever, caring, kind, and strong. Then we have Sebastian, our MMC, he’s an Alpha, Zaia’s mate and husband, an act first think later kind of guy, protective and possessive, doing what he thinks is best. Zaia is done dirty by Sebastian and her world implodes based on a secret, and they just keep piling up! She’s such a strong character, forced to rebuild her life whilst keeping a secret of her own. The heartbreak in this is high, and the amount of secrets and lies being kept at one point had me wondering how anyone could handle any more and my blood pressure going through the roof. There is loads of angst and suspense, heart stopping moments and heartbreak, and a bond that didn’t want to go away, all wrapped up into a intriguing story. But through it all you can’t help but fall in love with Zaia, and start to like Sebastian, and as you just start to root for them we get that cliffhanger ending! You can’t go wrong with a Moonlight Muse book, and this one doesn’t disappoint!

To say I devoured this book doesn’t do it justice, I was obsessed! My only wish is that I had it in audio book so I didn’t have to put it down while doing the laundry, ha! The way Avery’s books make you feel all the emotions, is a sublime experience, and this book is no different. In this story we have Brendon, a preacher’s son, a student TA, a “yes” man, he’s just the sweetest, but lacks confidence and the ability to say no or set boundaries. Then we have Dominic, the total opposite, he’s the hot shot college QB, he’s confident and outgoing, and he’s failing class. So what does Coach do, make him get a tutor, in the form of our favourite TA. This book was chef’s kiss perfection, the way Avery combines two completely different personalities, builds in some amazing character development, chucks in a heap load of emotion, and an extra large pinch of spice, then stirred in a brilliant plot line, gave us this sweet morally black story. To me this is the kinkiest book Avery has written. The power imbalance, the degradation, the primal play, the sweet submission all make this a very spicy read. I loved how they were there for each other, how Dominic defended Brendan and helped give him the confidence to set boundaries and say no, or how Brendan helped Dominic out of his apathy, through all they went through, they dealt with it together and are better for it. This is a book I am going to come back to time and time again, if you read anything in 2026, make it this book!

Oh wow, this was a brilliant, devastating, beautiful end to the series! I don’t think I’ve cried so much for a book as I did for this one. Their love for each other really bleeds through in this story and it’s so emotional. The story starts directly after the end of Book 2 where Alora gets her memories back, and we revert to the present day perspective again. What follows is an epic action packed adventure to hide Alora from her father and betrothed while she trains to get a handle on her new powers. It all seems for naught when they are caught and ripped apart l, tortured and made to experience awful things that would break a normal person. Yet their love for each other is what gets them through. So much and so many sacrifices are made to ensure that the prophecy comes to fruition so that the Afterlight veil and universe can know peace as it should have been. It is a rollercoaster of action, passion (these two literally cannot get enough of each other), heartbreak, obsession, moments of levity, Alora’s sarcasm and Darce’s… just Darce, and unapologetically so. The underlying mesage for me through this whole series has been message love is timeless, and in this story it truly was. This story was riveting as the series conclusion and had me captured in its pages from start to finish!

This one was sweet and spicy. Like the previous book it was more about the connection and plot with spice mixed in. I’m really enjoying the story that’s starting to build across the series, and am looking forward to seeing what it turns into. In this story we have Tess, she has been shunned by her friends for something she didn’t do, she takes a solo trip to Ireland to go hiking and clear her head. She bumps into Levi on one of the hiking trails and as usual he marks her for one of his generals, but now we start to find out why. Enter Lug, her earth demon, he’s waited for his “marked” for eons, and shows her what he’s been waiting to do to her. I again loved that this story had a little more plot to it, more detail about the structure or hell and the brothers. You can feel the impending war getting closer, I cannot wait to see where the next book goes. This book was spicy, the most heartbreaking so far as Tess really bonds with Lug. Again, a perfect as a steamy interlude between heavier books, something to spice up a holiday, or if you want a short smut story that still makes sense, this is it!

This was spicy although not as spicy as the others so far, but what we got more of was connection and plot, amazing what can be squeezed into 41 pages! In this story we have Hope, she is a Wiccan and tarot reader who doesn’t trust easily. She gets dragged to a bar on Valentine’s Day by her employee and gets saved from a boring time by Levi. Instead of marking her for one of his demons, he is drawn to her and marks her for himself, but at what cost? I loved that this story had a little more plot to it, more detail about the marks, and we got to see Levi’s story. I loved the intrigue at the end too it’s rather ominous, which I hope continues in book five. This book was spicy, a little heartbreaking, you can see the pain coming just now how it’s going to hurt. Again, a perfect as a steamy interlude between heavier books, something to spice up a holiday, or if you want a short smut story that still makes sense, this is it!

Short and steamy! I loved the underlying message of this book and the others in this series, you are enough just as you are. In this story we have Carla, she is a strong willed, but a goth model who questions her place, in life, and in the modelling world. She gets stood up for a date at a bar, but then she meets Levi, and he tells her they love the chase. Trying to get over being stood up, she goes to a friends party and bumps into three strangers in Halloween masks, who sour her mood further and she goes home. Enter Rath, Ghast, and Asta, the three demons Carla was marked for, and literally pull her down to hell, and give her a debaucherous night of primal passion. I loved that this story had a little more depth to it, more connection, which is impressive for 48 pages. There was one inconsistency where the name of one of the princes of Hell changed, otherwise, this book was packed with spice (group scenes) yet enough plot to carry the short story. Perfect as a steamy interlude between heavier books, something to spice up a holiday, or if you want a short smut story that still makes sense, this is it!
