So Thirsty unfortunately didnât hit for me. Parts of it were fun, and other parts were just⊠Meh. Sloane was irritating as hell. I understand that she was supposed to have this big revelation, but it didnât come soon enough. She treated all the vampires, who were the best part of this book, like shit. I would have liked to have seen way more of the vampires, and am kind of salty that Sloane was the main character. Lol The ending felt rushed, and I wish it had been just a tad bit more fleshed out. Overall, the book wasnât bad, it just fell a little flat for me. Iâll still be reading more of Rachel Harrisonâs books, though. đ€

These books are such a fun cozy read for me. I always have a good time, and my brain can click off. Thereâs just something about them that makes them comforting. Iâm sure itâs just a me thing, but I love the easy feeling I get. Theyâre silly and ridiculous and a fantastic palate cleanser from other books. The mix of sarcastic, banter, dad-joke humor that comes with this series brings me such joy. đ€

This book irritated me more than anything. From the beginning, it felt like it was giving people who succumbed to the brainwashing/possession/whatever an âoutâ. Like⊠Oh they were so sad and weak minded and felt outcasted or whatever, so of course they easily fell for the bullshit. Maybe itâs because this book was too realistic/on the nose for whatâs going on in life right now that made it so unlikable. I donât know what I was really expecting here, but it wasnât this. I really enjoyed all the gory stuff and creepy shit that happened, but so much of the book was frustrating that it ruined the fun stuff. One of the things I did enjoy was the way it was written⊠It was such an unhinged style, and it really did work well for the story. Maybe I just wasnât in the mood for this heavily political type of story? Idk⊠I just wasnât personally a fan overall. Iâll probably still check out other books by this author cause I did really like the writing style, Iâll just be avoiding anything that might even hint at being that political. Or maybe Iâll just have to wake upâŠ. Open my eyesâŠ
