Stop. Before we go any further. I need to know where one acquires a pink housedress with winged croissants. 🥐

"There was a dead girl in my aunt's bakery."
Now that's a good opening. And I already like Mona, she has humour.

I'm really struggling with this (trying a second time after giving up on chapter one) but am going to try my best to stick it out this time.
Yesthattallulah commented on TienH's review of Clockwork Heart (Clockwork Heart, #1)
Interesting world full of engines, flying things, and etiquettes with society divided into castes. What I enjoyed most, however, is the grumpy x sunshine trope; I don't know why grumpiness can be so cute in fiction though I guess it's all about context and we can all pretend it's just a prented-grumpiness.
Taya Icarus as FMC is very easily likeable (who doesn't like sunshine!) though she appears to be quite innocent. Cristof Forlore ran away from his dark family past though not far so he has a reason to be grumpy... the beginning was a bit shaky but made it all the more interesting later.
The mystery was a little convoluted, I thought, even if it ends rather well. There is a couple of more books though so far, I think, I'm not in a rush to read them.
