Wow... I'll have to check out her books 😍 thanks!

  • Books with beautiful portrayals of food??

Okay if you're wondering if I'm hungry or have lost my mind giving this title, so I must assure you, it's both 😂

Actually I just finished watching the Little Forest movie (2018). I enjoyed watching the preparation of various Korean foods.

So I really need book recommendations that have the same relation with food, like preparation of it, stories related to it. I need fiction recs and I'm not particular about Korean cuisine, I can read about any food.

Cat's People by Tanya Guerero deals with grief, healing and finding love, with a beautiful romance as its sub plot.

Also a few months ago I read The Midnight Book Club by E W Andersen as ARC and I totally enjoyed it.

How can I forget, Mad About You by Mhairi McFarlane. It handles too many things at once and I won't say it's filled with too much romance, but has depth in it.

  • Romantic reads

I am currently reading Homeseeking by Karissa Chen and it is so wonderful. I also read Atmosphere earlier this year and loved that as well. I have joined many lists/ways to earn badges on PB but are there any specific to romantic loves that don't focus only on sex (which I don't mind) I just enjoy more depth to a story. Perhaps historical romance is where I could find more books? I just don't know. Thank you in advance if you have any books in this vein to recommend

So happy for you and so inspiring for me. I know carousels work great, it's the format that brings the most engagement to me too ❤️

  • Small Achievement 😏🔥🎉

Guys, you are not going to believe me, but I just gained 3 beautiful, handsome followers on Bookstagram BY POSTING A REVIEW. YES, A REVIEW. F*ck you trial reels, you are not the only way (I am a carrousels and static reviews lover, I kinda hate feeling force to do reels ngl). This small tiny win has been a great reminder: people do care. Some of them still read descriptions. The sun is shining, life is good.

Love & Lidocaine : A Swoony Contemporary Romance

Love & Lidocaine : A Swoony Contemporary Romance

    Kendra Hope

Virgin River meets The Love Hypothesis in this swoony closed-door romance. Perfect for readers who love witty banter, high chemistry, and slow-burn tension that will make you want to throw the book across the room. Hope Elmswood has spent her entire life in a dental office, whether she wanted to or not. A few months after graduating as a dental hygienist and preparing to submit her dental-school applications, she’s completely burned out. And after a frightening incident with her father’s neurotic dental associate, she realizes she has to get away from the dental world…now. With nothing but a suitcase and a dream she’s never been allowed to chase, Hope flees to a small mountain town to stay in her brother’s off-grid survival cabin. She’s finally going to find a job she doesn’t despise, with no dentist drama and no spit. But her plans for a dental-free existence unravel when she literally runs into her handsome new neighbor, Jay Alarcón. At first, he seems harmless enough, until Hope discovers he just so happens to be the very thing she ran from: a dentist. Hope wants absolutely nothing to do with her new neighbor. Dentists are her personal villain origin story. But when a series of mishaps forces her to accept a job at his clinic and rent his accessory apartment, Hope starts to wonder if maybe not all dentists are the same. As Hope confronts her anxiety and workplace trauma, she begins to wonder if healing and love might be possible after all. Content Consideration: Love & Lidocaine touches on anxiety, workplace abuse, and includes a brief conversation about a parent who died by suicide (brief mention and non-graphic). There is also a short high-stress moment involving a car accident.
