The descriptions in this book are excellent, but the story felt a bit too flat for me. It was a cool idea for the story, but it was rushed and too predictable.

However, I didn't hate it. I love the idea of an orchard being alive and needing to be fed. I wish this book would have been longer and explained more things instead of being more mysterious. The mysterious aspect kind of gave it away early on.

When I started this book, it immediately thrust me back into Neverland, my home away from home. It was a feeling of comfort and nostalgia reading about the vicious lost boys and their Winnie Darling again. "Because I'm Winnie fucking Darling."

Winnie reminds me that even though I've come from a broken past, that I myself, am not broken any longer. She empowers me. Winnie is the epitome of feminine rage while simultaneously being soft, kind, and gentle. She reminds me that I can get past the fear of becoming who I really am.

The characters and their growth, the storyline, even new characters being introduced, Nikki does it all flawlessly. I love that Kas and Bash have been teaching her to get out of all different sorts of knots. The dynamic between them always makes me laugh. Vane and Peter are my favorite broody men. "So what do you want?" "The right to brood, I suppose." "Permission granted."

If you want a why choose, found family, touch her and die storyline with equally amazing smut, this book is for you!

WOW...Just WOW. It blows my mind that this is a debut book from Perri because her writing is insanely beautiful, emotionally intuitive, and aims to destroy every cell in your body. Put me in a regeneration chamber, I'm fucking cooked, no longer existing in this universe. This is an infinity star read.

From the prologue to the last word of this book, The Wildborn kept me in a prison of emotional turmoil and I'm happy about it. The world-building, descriptive scenes with the story driving the plot with a healthy amount of smut and edging you just right. nora's kiss 🤌🏻

The devastation in Airik's life paired with Nora's abandonment played on my own experiences as a child and gave me the words I needed to hear. The way Airik cares for Nora is beyond words. He is the missing puzzle piece just as she is for him and it unlocks the things that have wronged them both. Don't get me started on our sweet ooshi boy, Lucky. I just can't begin to explain what this book means to me. I'm emotional. I'm truly speechless. I'm devastated in the best way. I want everyone to drop what they're doing and read this incredible story.
