So far, it has the potential to be a five star which I'm really hoping for because I've had ZERO five star fantasy reads this year. I'm really interested to see what's up with Aster because as much as I love a white haired mysterious guy, I have to admit he's suspicious af.

This was definitely surprisingly entertaining. I remember seeing a lot of people losing their minds over it and saying that it makes you struggle to tell what's real and what's not, but up until about 70% I thought I was safe. And then I was hit by plot twist after plot twist that made me go Huh? Huh? Yeah, over all pretty cool and entertaining, I also really liked Scarlett and Julian and it's always good when you like the main couple. Am I running after the second book? Not really, at least not yet, because my feelings about Tella are..lukewarm at best and the ending for this was pretty decent.

Finally, my first five star read of the year!! Did I just devour this in like three days? Yes, yes I did because Rebecca is just the sort of book you can't put down. It simply compels you to keep on reading, just to find out what's going to happen next. And of course, the story is set in just about one of the most atmospheric settings imaginable, with description so vivid that one could almost smell the gardens of Manderly. All in all, definitely one of my favourite reads <3

I've only just stared this after having a streak of good, but not great books and I JUST KNOW this is going to be my first five star of the year.
