A collection of the pilot books for popular series, for those of us who love to follow a character's journey for as long as an author will let us! Some of the below series have heavily debated starting points and book read orders--in those cases the pilot was selected based on what seems to be the most popular approach.

I hate this guy 😤 This is my third reread and I still hate him with burning passion. He disgusts me so much it makes me want to skip his chapters, eugh. Even Regal is better (not by much tho)

How many books do you read at the same time and why?
I feel like only one is not enough to keep me focus, so here I am juggling between 4 and having so much fun I might add a fifth. I have 2 book in french, 2 in english, 2 in audiobooks, 1 paperback and 1 on my kindle.
It's like having multiple format helps me keeping my enjoyment for reading (ADHD life, it might seems).
What about you??

"May your Paths be safe, your Floors unbroken and may the House fill your eyes with Beauty."
I picked Piranesi because it was advertised as a "fantasy" book. So judging by the cover I expected mythological Mr. Norrell and I couldn't be more wrong.
Piranesi is a speculative novel with rich and dreamy prose. The first part of the book is very atmospheric and slower paced, the second one is a revelation; full of articles and quicker paced action.
The House concept reminds me of House of Leaves by Danielowski: except that at the heart of the House is Serenity and Beauty of Vastness instead of Horror and Despair.
I recommend it to Susanna Clarke fans (duh) - it won't disappoint! and to anyone that loves literary fiction with a speck of otherworldliness.
