Al principio del libro se plantean unas cuestiones que a estas alturas no han tenido desarrollo, y se ha centrado más en explicar cómo funciona un matadero.
Espero que a partir de este momento avance más la trama, ya que hasta ahora ha sido bastante previsible.

Maybe it's just me. I read in every format, physical copies, digital, audiobook. I have so many unread books (physical and digital) and I would love an option I could for my tbr to mark what books I already own.
I could make a shelf with this books of course but I wonder if I'm the only one who would find an option to mark books as owned useful.
Maybe it's just me and my huge mess, I want to prioritize the books I own but I keep forgetting which ones they are.
I've bought too many books in thrift stores and flea markets 😭 I just can't resist when they are so cheap

I accidentally read a very popular book, and I didn't much like it. The problem is that because it's so popular, it's taking up about 70% of my feed right now. I disagree with nearly everything people say about it (I won't say which book it is so I don't start an argument that boils down to taste being different, lol), and it's getting a bit much.
I figure it's rude to ask people to stop talking about it, so I'm wondering if there's a way to mute a book? Or do I have to delete it and lose my progress on a badge I really wanted? :')
EDIT: I have no integrity, so the second someone asked which book it was, I told them. Sorry.

I really wanted to like this book but it felt incomplete, honestly besides the gore it's a bit lacking of content. I know it's supposed to have such underlying deep themes but to me it wasn't done successfully. It was hard to finish because it was honestly so boring, the worldbuilding was weak, mostly an infodump and oversimplified justifications for the few things it superficially explored. I understand not everything has to go that deep and entertainment for the sake of it is totally fine, but to me as a reader that's not enough to spark interest.

This was a pleasant surprise, I'm so glad I decided to pick this up without knowing anything about it. It read like a fever dream, reminds me of Midnight Rooms in that sense. I started by reading the copy for the first chapters, nothing was getting to crazy yet, but then I got busy and decided to switch to the audiobook and I'm so glad I did.
I feel like without being anything extraordinary, this book has a rhythm that just hit better in the audiobook. I was on a reading slump since July or August and this read just got me out of it.

I think poetry books/ collections are beautiful and important but I’m not sure how I’m supposed to read them. Do you read the entire thing like a normal book? Because then you might not have much time to reflect over the poems. Do you read one poem every now and then and give it a think? In that scenario it might take ages to get through. What works best for you Pagebound folk? 🩷
