I really enjoy the way that valente tells stories and I mostly fucked with this one. I didn’t think it was as innovative as radiance or quite as good of a story as the past is red, but the play of folklore and historical fic with the exploration of power was really compelling

Getting hard to rate this series because I will always love my favorite sec unit but not every good thing is 5 stars, yanno?
Murderbot does have some really nice growth arc here and the story is the usual amount of fast paced action and narrative comedy. This installment doesn’t deviate (I would never ask Martha to!) but I am starting to see how we do need to wrap the narrative up soon.
Will I cry when Murderbot is over? Absolutely. Does Murderbot deserve a good ending rather than a forever-stretched sanctuary moon-esque series of escapades? Also yes.
