I feel as though I’m having a love hate relationship with this book - is it too many tropes in one? Or am I just a Scrooge who can’t get (back) into the holiday spirit? Am I just sad that snow falls isn’t real and neither are snow days now that we all can work remotely? Or is this little nugget of a book that good at gently nudging you to re-evaluate if you’re an active participant in your life or simply observing? 👀😬🤷

Do not start this book on an airplane. Thank goodness the first couple minutes turned me off fast enough to not get to the flight scene. But also don’t judge this book on its first chapter if you too are initially thinking “I can’t relate” - there’s someone in here for everyone, I suspect!

Even if this book appears uninspiring to you, I urge you to check it out from the library, spend a credit, borrow from a friend! It is such a brief read but has the ability to quickly recentre yourself - and ourselves - as part of a whole rather than an individual. I’m so thankful to Pagebound for putting this into the seasonal challenge - even though I had already read it, seeing the cover brings a smile to my face every time and I dearly hope this book continues to garner the attention it deserves.

I’m not sure what compelled me to listen to this as an audiobook but if you suspect you may have trouble tracking characters or generally are not a fan of hysterics, I highly suggest skipping the audiobook format.
