Not gonna lie, this is 75% smut, 25% plot. However, if you were not expecting that given the title and blurb, then that’s definitely your own fault. It was so entertaining for me. Reading as Richard starts to develop feelings and Hunter tries to stay professional. The way their bond gets stronger but also not obvious because they’re both trying to deny their feelings. Everyone rooting for them to just fucking commit. The fanbase comments. It was all just hilarious and I was obsessed. Totally worth the time for this fun read.

This was so much fun to read. Gwenna has so much sass, stubbornness, and sheer will to succeed that I was obsessed with her story. Having Raptor figure out that she was the “sex-worker” he was looking for was also hilarious. The murder mystery plot was also really well done along with the romance plot. I did see the twist coming because I’m an over-thinker. Either way, I had fun but that’s easy to do with a Ruby Dixon book.

This was so cute and heartbreaking at the same time. I kind of guessed the ending but it hurt to find out I was right. Georgia’s mother is the true villain of the story and yet, this story would have never happened without her meddling. Scarlett and Constance were incredible women and I literally teared up so many times listening to their story. This was my first contemporary/historical romance by Yarros and it was so good. Definitely looking forward to reading more.

The ending of this series fell flat for me. The climax was nonexistent. It’s never really clear how the resistance started and why. Other than the fact that everyone wants to live with their bonded, it doesn’t fully explain the animosity. The dragged this on for six books too so I did expect there to be at least a little poor plot. I understand every male getting a book to bond with Oleander but there’s a lot of plot holes and questions that never get addressed. I am glad they get a chance to enjoy their lives together. I do wish they had taken the time to add more lore into the series.

I really enjoyed this! It’s such a cozy monster romance with some Venom inspiration for the monster. Erevos is so cute and obsessed with Lyssena; he doesn’t even realize it. There were a couple of times where I felt like some parts of the story aren’t explained thoroughly but you catch it a little further into the story. I would love more stories in the Void. Lyssena is also a very resilient character and I’m so happy so has someone who actually cares for her.

This book dragged on for so long. I also find the physically intimate moments to be unnecessary. They do nothing to get the plot moving forward. There was so much and nothing happening at the same time? I felt like I was being constantly teased and then just left wanting. I’m not attached to any of the characters so I’m not sure that I’ll read the next book if it ever releases.

I’m intrigued by how much the author still has happening in the second to last book of the series. While I did kind of see the ending of this book coming, I was still intrigued to see how the author would wrap this all up. I’m glad they’re all bonded now and that they are all in love with Oleander. There’s still not a whole lot of clarification on who the resistance or villain is so that part is still confusing.
